Bring the instrument, the story and the sound to the bench

The workshop of Benson Stringz LLC is at 3287 E Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights - 84121-5306, United States (US), and visits are by appointment so the bench is free when you arrive. Write to studio@bensonstringz.buzz or call +12709473257 to describe the instrument and the work you think it needs, and we will confirm a time that suits the two of us. If you are not sure whether a job is needed, say so in your note and we will tell you honestly at intake.

Contact

A note, a call or an appointment

The fastest way to reach the bench is email, because it lets us keep a record of your description and reply with a proper estimate. The phone is answered during bench hours, and if nobody picks up it is because both hands are holding a chisel; leave a short message and we will call back the same day.

This form opens your own mail program with the message filled in. You can also write directly to studio@bensonstringz.buzz.

Three questions that come up often

Yes. Every instrument is seen in at a booked time so we can listen to it, measure it and discuss the work without rushing. Call +12709473257 or email studio@bensonstringz.buzz and we will offer the next free slot, usually within a few days.
A straightforward player setup is often completed in one appointment, or across two short visits a week apart so the instrument can settle under tension. Bridge, post and board work usually takes three to seven days depending on the queue, and restorations are quoted with their own schedule.
Yes. Student instruments are a large part of the bench, and they deserve the same careful fitting as a professional instrument. We will always tell you when a repair costs more than the instrument is worth, and we will suggest the simplest honest path instead of an expensive one.
